When will Americans start saving again and work to get out of debt? When will they stop spending on their plastic and come to grips with reality? When will they invest rather than pay interest the wrong way at such high rates? Will they ever stop spending?
Well it maybe impossible for some American Families to stop spending as they are currently living beyond their means and they not only need to change their habits of spending and charging, but they also need to lighten up on some of the attitudes of living beyond their means.
Another issue is that the cost of living is not matching the comfortable life style that most Americans now feel they are entitled too. Of course they are not and should not feel entitled to anything, but they do.
Americans will get out of debt when they live within their means and when the monetary flows of our nation do not so readily escape in trade deficits, but rather come back to our shores and circulate as other nations buy from us as much as we buy from them.
Free Trade is a great thing to keep peace in the world, but free trade without fair trade can be problematic for some nations whose money flows leave and do not return thru the purchases of in-kind goods. That is to say products bought from China are paid for and then the Chinese buy different products from us. We need a fair trade slant to a free trade world. Consider all this in 2006.
